We deliver, install, set-up and provide ongoing support for your new computer and home entertainment systems. Plus we'll even take the packaging with us!

Computer set up*

Includes:

• Unpacking, setting up your computer and removing any unwanted packaging.
• Configuring Microsoft Windows ⁄ Office and downloading updates.
• Installing & configuring antivirus software (purchased separately).
• Configuring existing internet connection & email.
• Connecting your computer to an existing network.

Add any of these services below for when a Nerd visits**:

• Transfer files from an old to a new computer.
• Set-up wired or wireless network.
• Set-up automatic back-up schedules.
• Premium protection: virus, spam & internet pop-ups.
• Hardware: set-up printer, digital camera, webcam or MP3 player.
• Software install: per software programme.
• Component installation: RAM, hard drive, cards.
• Mobile⁄PDA phone: set-up internet, email & sync to Outlook.
• Gaming console set-up.
• Kidsafe online.

Any of the above services can also be provided as a one off visit. For more than 1 service the additional service fee table applies.

Home Entertainment set up^

TV, projector, media centre or home entertainment set up includes:

• Delivering the products & unpacking.
• Setting up & removing any unwanted packaging.
• Connecting to existing power.
• Connecting to existing sound system & up to 4 devices

(e.g Sky, Freeview, DVD, video, game console).

Additional - TV's larger than 37" set-up:
Two Nerds required. Customer has the option to assist if stronger than a Nerd!**

Add any of these services below for when a Nerd visits**:

• Mounted or cabinet assembly.
• Additional component installation: DVD, VCR, DVD Recorder.
• Freeview box set-up.
• Universal remote programming.
• Speaker set-up.

^Home entertainment set-up includes capping if required but not concealed cabling. Maximum distance from TV to multimedia devices 2m.

Nerd Support

• Please note this is a labour-only service and no additional products apply.
• All services are based on setting up 1 computer, TV, projector, or other hardware⁄software device.
• After hours fee of $39 applies after 5pm weekdays, after 12pm Saturday and all day Sunday.
• A additional travel charge of $50 per hour will be charged for travel greater than 30km from a Dick Smith store.

Your Nerd will come to you quickly, wherever it is that we're needed, to ensure your technology is up and running again with minimal interruption to you.

Onsite re-installation
When your computer comes back from being repaired your Nerd will reinstall your computer, saving you the frustrations of plugging in all those cables, and ensuring your internet, email and printer are up and running.

Nerd advisor
Your nerd will review your current home or business technology and work with you to ensure all your needs⁄questions are met, providing a path to technology bliss.
